Muriel is an experienced counsellor from India. She has a Master in Child Psychology and Counselling and is a member of NZAC. Muriel has had extensive training in a wide range of counselling approaches, enabling her to work with children, adolescents, couples and families. She is a group facilitator, Family Court Counsellor and is a member of the NZ Association of Counsellors. Muriel started her career as a school counsellor and went on to teach psychology at University level. Her multi-lingual abilities and a deep understanding of various cultures has been the key to her success as a multi-cultural counsellor . She stresses the importance of having clients' feel valued and respected in the counselling process. She is happily married with two adult children.

Lynn is originally from China and has been living in Auckland since 2002. She has just completed her study for a Masters degree in Counselling in the University of Auckland. Lynn has practiced in a variety of settings during her training, including university, secondary school and Problem Gambling Foundation. She as worked with clients from young teenagers to older adults, both male and female, of varying sexual orientation, religious beliefs, social background and ethnicity. Her own ability to live with deep involvement in her own Chinese culture and in her adopted culture of New Zealand supports her ability to work with clients who have different areas of comfort and need. She provides individual and couple counselling.

Anne has been working as a counsellor at Home and Family Society since 1996. She has had extensive training and experience in a wide range of counselling approaches enabling her to work with a variety of adults and couples. She is a member of the NZ Association of Counsellors, a conciliator for the Family Court and has a Masters Degree in Counselling with first class honours from Auckland University.
Anne believes counselling can offer people powerful ways of moving forward through difficult times, which may involve conflict, domestic violence, abuse, grief, depression, stress, anxiety or self-doubt, enabling them to gain inner strength, learn new skills and generate change.
She finds counselling challenging, engaging and sometimes deeply moving. Anne lives with her partner and three teenage sons.

Peter is an experienced counsellor whose career in helping people started when he began his nursing training in 1978. Most of his experience has been in community settings and include psychotherapy, crisis work and working with people disabled by psychiatric illness. It has also included working as a Counselling Team Leader for a Men's Agency.
Peter has been working in Private Practice for several years working with men, women and couples with various issues. He ahs a particular interest in working with men suffering from the effects of trauma such as sexual abuse or war.
He is a member of NZAC and is approved by ACC for sexual abuse counselling.
He is married and is father of two young men and step-father of 2 young men and now a grandfather of one very young boy.
He uses a client-centered approach to support and empower his clients to develop the resources for healing and change. He works with individuals and couples and is also available for clinical supervision.

Jaqui's career in counselling and group facilitation spans 20 years. Some of this was within agencies in Wellington, Wairarapa and Waiheke Island specializing in addictions, family violence and abuse issues. Many years have been in private practice covering issues such as grief, depression, stress management and relationship dynamics. Jaqui holds qualifications in counselling and psychotherapy, creative therapies and supervision. She has been a member of NZAC and a Family Court counsellor since 1991. In 2001, Jaqui incorporated rhythm therapy using drums and percussion instruments into her work and currently runs many regular therapeautic and team development programmes within the community. Jaqui has two adult children and two grandchildren.
Yolanda is an experienced counsellor who has recently joined us from working as a family therapist in Whakatane. Yolanda was born in Waitakere City where she raised her two children.
Yolanda has a Degree in Social Practice, a Diploma in Social Work and Community Work and is a member of New Zealand Association of Counsellors. Yolanda has experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds and has facilitated groups for women, children and for parents who have separated. She has a particular interest in working around the area of violence in relationships.
Yolanda works from a holistic perspective and has the ability to build strong relationshipswith clients she works with. Her commitment to the counselling relationship is to offer a tailored response for client needs in the context of safely and understanding. She believes that respect, connection and honesty all contribute to desirable and purposeful changes. She is currently working towards a Masters Degree in Social Practice

Jon's interest in counselling began through his work with youth and has also see him working as a university counsellor and an addictions counsellor specialising in gambling.
Jon believes counselling can help people gain clarity and understanding around the challenges of life and can assist in gaining a deeper sense of purpose and meaning. He is passionate about his work and maintains a sense of integrity, respect and compassion when working with people.
