Lynn is originally from China and has been living in Auckland since 2002. She has a Masters Degree in Counselling with first class honours from University of Auckland and she is a member of the NZ Association of Counsellors. She has worked with clients from young teenagers to older adults, both male and female, of varying sexual orientation, religious beliefs, social background and ethnicity. Her own ability to live with deep involvement in her own Chinese culture and in her adopted culture of New Zealand supports her ability to work with clients who have different areas of comfort and need. She provides individual, couple, and family counselling. She is also an experienced group leader.

Anne has been working as a counsellor at Home and Family Society since 1996. She has had extensive training and experience in a wide range of counselling approaches enabling her to work with a variety of adults and couples. She is a member of the NZ Association of Counsellors, a conciliator for the Family Court and has a Masters Degree in Counselling with first class honours from University of Auckland.
Anne believes counselling can offer people powerful ways of moving forward through difficult times, which may involve conflict, domestic violence, abuse, grief, depression, stress, anxiety or self-doubt, enabling them to gain inner strength, learn new skills and generate change.
She finds counselling challenging, engaging and sometimes deeply moving. Anne is married and has three young adult sons.

Peter is an experienced counsellor whose career in helping people started when he began his nursing training in1978. Most of his experience has been in community settings and include psychotherapy, crisis work and working with people disabled by mental illness. He has also worked as a counselling team leader for a men's agency.
Peter has worked with men and women and couples with various issues through private practice. He has a particular interest in working with men suffering from the effects of trauma such as sexual abuse or war.
He uses a client centred therapy approach to support and empower his clients to develop the resources for healing,
Peter is a member of NZAC and is ACC approved for for sexual abuse counselling.
He is married and has two sons and is a step father to two young men and now a grandfather.

Jaqui's career in counselling and group facilitation spans over 20 years. She has worked within agencies in Wellington, Wairarapa and Waiheke Island specialising in addictions, family violence and abuse issues. Since 1993 she has set up a private practice covering issues such as grief, depression, stress management and relationship dynamics. Jaqui holds qualifications in counselling and psychotherapy, creative therapies and supervision. She has been a member of NZAC and a Family Court counsellor since 1991. In 2001, Jaqui incorporated rhythm therapy using drums and percussion instruments into her work and currently runs many regular therapeautic and team development programmes within the community. Jaqui has two adult children and two grandchildren.

Sher is an experienced therapist having worked with a wide range of client groups and issues. She has a Bachelor of Social Practice in Counselling, a Diploma of Community Development & Social Work and various other certificates of training. She is a member of the New Zelanad Association of Counsellors.
Sher is committed to respectful, anti-discriminatory, culturally sensitive and safe practice, working to encourage the clients' sense of hopefullness in their lives. She considers it a privilege to engage with clients using a client directed and collaborative approach to counselling.
Sher works with adults, adolescents, children and families of different ages, cultures and demographics. Sher has dealt with many complex and multidimensional issues in counselling within private practice and through agencies. She enjoys working with all client groups and has a special interest and history of working with adolescents.

John is a Scottish born New Zealander. He has twenty two years experience working with families, couples and individuals. John's main modalities are person - centred and relational therapy. He also works eclectically and holistically to be able to meet each client's unique character and needs. Within this framework he draws on metaphor, humour, stories and other creative therapies to help each client move toward their fullest potential.

Anya is a specialist children’s counsellor at Home and Family. Anya has a Diploma in Psychosynthesis and a Post Graduate qualification in Expressive Therapy from AUT and has been a member of NZAC since 1993. She is committed to the expressive counselling process as a way of creating richer communication in families and to give children ways of coping in their lives and growing in self esteem. Her style of using art and play therapies together with more structured skill based counselling provides a steady environment for children. Anya works gently with both children and their families, creating a safe environment to promote learning and change.

Clare is an experienced counsellor and workshop facilitator who has an abiding passion for helping people figure out what they really want, and to flourish.
Her counselling empowers people to come to terms with grief, sex abuse; bullying in the workplace and school; to manage anxiety and panic attacks, chronic illness, chronic pain, stress and burnout.
Clare has a Masters degree in Psychology, a Doctorate in Sociology and Social Justice, and is a member of the NZ Association of Counsellors.
She has a particular interest in working with domestic violence issues having done extensive research on this, with a particular focus on psychological abuse. She runs an in-depth information Blog (www.speakoutloud.net) especially about these issues. Clare uses a wide range of counselling approaches including cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness stress reduction technique, interactive drawing therapy, and narrative therapy.
Clare has a partner, two adult step-children and two teenage step-grandchildren. And she has a major enthusiasm for photography.

A Master of Education in Counselling M.Ed (Hons) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychology, Roger’s background has been in education, psychology and counselling.
He uses a variety of modalities, such as Client Centered, Interactive Drawing Therapy and Narrative Therapy to support families, couples, individuals and children. His process is focussed on giving everyone he works with a voice. In his work, he ensures that he is up to date with current thinking is constantly refreshing and enhancing his professional practice.
Roger began his career as a teacher and remained in teaching for several years before training as a Counsellor. His professional practice includes working on a wide range of issues including, depression, anxiety, anger management, poor self esteem, trauma, grief and wider relationship issues. He also specialises in working with families to develop parenting skills and to develop strategies for them to support and manage their situation. Specifically, in his practice he aims to help clients to:
• manage their problems more effectively and develop unused resources and missed opportunities more fully
• use their imaginations to spell out possibilities for a better future
• choose realistic and challenging goals that are real solutions to the key problems and craft a plan to achieve these goals
