An outstanding success, this tournament was played in challenging weather conditions, yet the players and organisers had a great time.
A difficult decision to stop the game after 9 holes has to be made and your patience and support was greatly appreciated.
A total of 128 players participated in this popular event and the event raised a total of $25,092 which will go twoards counselling families in need.

Guests thoroughly enjoyed the fun, fashion and fabulous cars of this fundraising event held on the North Shore on September 17th. Phoenix Rose presented a fashion show of style and trendy outfits in the spacious showrooms of Jerry Clayton BMW in Takapuna.
The organising committee outdid themselves catering tasteful canapes to the appreciative guests. The exhibition of tango and salsa dancing enhanced the evening. The event culminated in a very lively and well supported chairty auction which raised valuabe funds for the North Shore counselling service.

The Counselling Awareness Week has once again been a great success this year. The celebration breakfast on Friday May 22nd at Sorrento in the Park was well attended with 171 supporters from the counselling world converging to promote counselling.
Paula Bennett, Minister of Social Development and Employment was one of the guest speakers. She spoke of her keen interest in supporting community agencies and of the importance of counselling in today's world.
Sharon Lee and her team from Catholic Family and Community Services, along with a client presented a moving story that highlighted the crucial role counselling plays in changing lives.
We have received some wonderful entries for the T - Shirt Designing Competition held in libraries during Counselling Awareness Week ( May 17 - 22)

The Grange - Papatoetoe
The tournament was a great success with a wonderful atmosphere and sense of enjoyment. We had a hundred players competing and thirteen holes sponsored, a marvelous result.
The tournament raised $ 16, 201 gross with the auction raising $ 3785.00 The funds raised will cover the costs of twenty men having a course of six individual counselling sessions!
The newly initiated Home and Family Counselling sheild sponsored by Hawkins Construction was won by Gordin Shute and his team from AIRCO Service.

A special quilt named " The challenge of change one bead at a time" was unveiled by Mr. E Bruce Smith, one of our generous donors to commemorate Children's day.
It was an afternoon tea attended by supporters of our childrens work , children who were involved in making the quilt and their parents who shared in the pride of completion of this unique project.
